About the position

We are looking for a highly motivated General Ledger accountant to join our Finance team in Assago, Italy. In this role, you will manage the accounting activities of several holding entities of QSRP in europe. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and smooth collaboration with colleagues and external partners across multiple countries. 

 

Key repsonsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly closing process, including accruals and journal entries, for assigned entities
  • Record intercompany loans, interest and related transactions
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure timely elimination of intercompany balances
  • Oversee payroll accounting in coordination with external fiduciary in Switzerland
  • Conduct analytical reviews of P&L and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Provide oversight for Accounts Payable and Treasury activities performed by shared service teams for the entities in scope
  • Partner with external fiduciaries in Luxembourg and Switzerland to ensure statutory and compliance requirements are met
  • Upload and validate financial data from the local S4H accounting system into the Sigma consolidation tool
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations, documentation and audit schedules
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Accounting in Belgium and cross-functional teams across Europe

What do you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2  years of professional accounting experience, ideally within an international environment
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); French is a strong plus
  • Good knowledge of Ialian is a plus
  • Good knowledge of general ledger accounting, payroll processes and intercompany transactions
  • Basic understanding of IFRS and its application to financial reporting
  • Basic knowledge in ERP systems (S4H is a plus)
