About the position
As the Marketing Director, you will spearhead all marketing initiatives, aligning them with the company's overall vision to achieve agreed objectives and goals, while ensuring that marketing is recognized as a high-quality service that generates leads and delivers results across various media channels, including traditional, digital, and social platforms, while maximising the potential of automated campaigns.
Moreover, you will foster a high-performance environment by managing and mentoring a team of marketing professionals, providing clear direction and management, and ensuring the skill set remains relevant and up to date.
Most importantly, you will act as the brand champion, unifying the vision across the organisation and safeguarding the brand.
Key duties and responsibilities
Marketing Directors focus on developing marketing initiatives to increase the sales and profitability of an organisation. The precise duties and responsibilities of a Marketing Director depend on the organisation. However, their main duties and responsibilities include:
- Developing a long-term plan for the development of an organisation’s brand
- Working closely with the creative, marketing and sales teams to create advertising campaigns and promotions
- Developing and understanding the budgets for marketing research to inform the organisation’s marketing strategies
- Coordinating the marketing projects from beginning to end
- Attending meetings, marketing events and conferences
- Managing relationships with the corporate partners of the organisation
- Overseeing the brand marketing campaigns, once implemented
- Communicating the marketing plan with the marketing managers
- Coordinating all media contacts and ensuring that the company consistently gets print and digital coverage
Skills, experience and qualifications
- Prior high volume, QSR experience, in a managed environment. The chosen individual is likely to have extensive experience within a food led business.
- Experience of having led change in a fast paced, high volume, customer centric, multi-site environment, winning the hearts and minds of those around them, whilst taking them on a positive journey and living the cultural values of the Chopstix brand
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a Business Management related subject.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a marketing role.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a management role.
- Fluent level of English, both spoken and written.
- The following qualifications are desirable but not essential:
- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) – Diploma in Professional Marketing Level 6
- Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) – Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Marketing Level 7
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Person Specification
A skilled, forward-thinking leader with demonstrable experience of running large scale, complex marketing strategies across teams in various locations. You will need to have significant experience in successfully recruiting, managing, and developing managers and leaders to deliver on demanding targets.

Leading People - Places a high priority on developing store teams to fulfil their potential and become effective commercial and people managers.
- Influencing & Creating Networks - Actively promotes collaborative working relationships within the area and maintains strong networks across and outside the business. Equally effective influencing at senior levels and management teams. Hunger for Learning & Growth - Is highly motivated to continually learn and develop their own commercial and people skills to perform to the best of their ability.
- Managing Delivery - Effectively manages short term tactical and longer-term plans to achieve business targets and deliver to service standards. Driving Business Improvements - Effectively leads current and longer-term business changes to drive significant improvements across the Area.
- Managing Change – The Regional Operations Manager is expected to be proactive in supporting and implementing change. They should demonstrate flexibility and commitment to deliver an outstanding area performance.
Desirable:
- Previous high level marketing experience in other industry, to demonstrate key organisational skills.
- Proven successful experience in a high-volume food and drink operation.
- Previous experience working with Head Office teams to drive results in the stores.
